Original Luis Pablo wood carvings are recognizable by their distinctive signature, "L Pablo", normally found underneath or on the back of a carving, and often next to the L Pablo candle motif. Luis Pablo is the foremost of the new generation of carvers of Oaxacan wood carvings and contemporary folk art (sometimes referred to as Alebrijes, Animalitos or Carved Figures) from Oaxaca, Mexico.
With his personal website, Luis Pablo guarantees authenticity, communicates directly with collectors and promotes the places where his work is represented.
His most popular carvings are of the following animals: Zebra, Fox, Gazelle, Rabbit, Polar Bear, Grizzly Bear, Panda, Ant-Eater, Dog, Cat, Racoon, Otter, Kangaroo, Lemur, Tapir, Duck-billed Platypus, Cheetah.
